Phantasy Star Portable 2 Infinity Beginner's Guide

Greetings my fellow citizen of Gurhal! I am Leon Sky and welcome to my humble abode. I've been playing infinity for four months now and I'm getting a hang of it and gameplay is perfect so far. I also noted all of the challenges that I encountered when I was a beginner and covered it for those who want to play this game.

First challenge that rings the mind (probably the biggest challenge) is the language barrier issue. Sega released it only in Japan and they don't have plans to localized this beautiful game because of piracy and sale issue of Phantasy Star Portable 2.Pretty annoying or call it whatever you like but that's the truth so far, but do not give up yet. An individual named DeviFoxx made a fully translated guide of PSP2I hooray!! This guide translates most of the menu that a player needs to navigate the game effectively. Story, weapons, armor, photon arts, bullets , technics, armor, and visual units are covered as well.Missions and monster names are in the bucket and also added game features like the rebirth system and the famous Infinity mission and etc. You can download DeviFoxx 's guide here.It will help your venture in Gurhal a lot.So basically everything was translated thanks to this man so the only thing that is missing in order to enjoy this game is You.
Based on my personal experience and to my fellow players in PSO-World, For beginners it might be daunting at first, especially when you didn't play its localized predecessor which was Phantasy Star Portable 2 because you need to learn where are the key menus are.You need to familiarize how the game works to play effectively and have a solid gameplay. But do not worry, the guide will help you in everything that you need. After studying and using this guide for like two to three days, you will be surprise that you can navigate the game flawlessly and you know where to go or what to do so the unique experience playing this game is just around the corner.Trust me on this because it's been proven by all the players in PSO-world including me. A great MMORPG is now within your grasp so what are you waiting for? Don't be afraid, get your PSP and indulge yourself.
Phew, done with the big challenge. Now the second challenge are weapon locations. This game has thousands of weapons, armor and accessories to collect with. An online base game which I find addictive and mind blowing. Phantasy star series are getting way better because of PSP2I.Now given that the game play is solid, the next problem is people are having a hard time looking for a guide that can help them regarding item drops specially for those who started playing this game and new to the series.
We have two methods in gathering info. First we are currently getting information by asking our fellow players or indulging our selves in the forum section of PSO World or other forums out there. Second,PSP2I has a Japanese wiki of all the possible drops that you can encounter and one can understand it by using Google Chrome to translate the whole page but after translating everything there's still a problem. Most of the translated names and etc are different but similar that the game has. You can figure everything out after studying all the game terms especially monster and mission names which is important to determine where the desired item or equipment drops. So to fix the JP concern, I made this guide or rather blog,   that can provide weapon visualization and stats of S rank weapons in the game.I will also include where I found a specific item so you will have an idea where the specific drop can be obtain and trust me, all of the weapons that are listed in here were confirmed by me as I play PSP2I.

Take note that there are a lot of ways to hunt a specific item especially weapons. For example your looking for an item and this guide told you that a specific mission or monster that will give you the drop, mostly that is not the only way to hunt it.There are a lot of ways such as different monsters that have the same drop and missions as well.I will not list all of those  I just covered where I found those items as a confirmed reliable drop location. If you have questions and concerns, feel free to email me at einzelwolves.info@gmail.com

If this guide doesn't have any picture of a specific weapon, it means that I don't have that weapon and still hunting for one. If its blank I really forgot where I found it. I will also list confirmed drops by the other players and edit my weapon drop location guide. Hope this guide will help especially for the newbies and  veterans as well. You can also browse the JP wiki and the PSP2 Pedia for additional infos. Most importantly I want to thank God for giving me the passion to write this guide and to my partner Star for helping and supporting  me this whole time. Peace out.

    1. Thank you for this.

Normally I have to transcribe weapon names to Japanese and find a decent picture, but this blog covers most weapons (at least the rare ones) and pictures them really well. Again, thanks, and keep up the good work!
